With ‘Pokkisham’ falling flat at the box office, filmmaker Cheran is in two minds about his next project. The actor is being offered many roles from various filmmakers including Mysskin, but Cheran is keen on direction rather than acting and thus has started working on scripts.

Now, we hear from his close source that he will sign a project, which is to be directed by debutant Raja, once an associate of filmmaker Balu Mahendra. It seems that Raja has offered him to perform an exceptional role that Cheran had never done before.

It is also heard that Cheran was offered to perform the role of a special force officer in Mysskin ‘Yuddham Sei’. But lately, the project was dropped as Mysskin inked a deal with Kamal Haasan instead.

In the past, Balu Mahendra’s assistants Bala, Ameer, Vetrimaaran have made it commendably big in the tinsel town. Let’s hope even Raja establishes a prominent position for himself in Tamil film industry and makes his mentor Balu Mahendra proud.
