KAVITHALAYA Film’s 52nd production 'Krishna Leela' is going great guns, with the shooting proceeding right on track. Director  Selvan, an assistant of Shankar, is directing his second venture after Suri. Actor Jeevan plays an aspiring IAS officer in the  film, opposite newcomer Meghna who is a BPO officer. Talking about the title, Selvan says, “I read a book of about 450 pages on Lord Krishna and I found that the 'raasa leelai' with the gopis was not even featured in it. There was so much other  information on Krishna who came to earth to vanquish demons and offer solutions to the suffering of people. So I based my  story on that aspect. My hero too does the same. My film is not a ‘mannmadha  leelai’!” Quelling rumours that his story  resembles that of the Vikram-starrer 'Kanthasamy', Selvan laughs, “'Krishna Leelai' is not 'Kanthasamy'. I too have heard these  baseless rumours. Maybe because both the heroes are do-gooders, alleviating the problems of the poor, some people are  spreading such stories.”

Selvan stresses that he wants to make films with a social message. For Jeevan, the role will be without any shades of grey.  The highlight of the film is said to be the  powerful dialogues penned by Selvan himself, who has also written the lyrics for one song. of the cast.
