Actor T Tamizharasan is not new to Tamil cinema, having acted as hero in films like 'Megham' and 'Manasey Mounama' amongst others. Now in US Pictures 'Mandapam' he dons the greasepaint once again. This time however, he will be playing his real life role on screen. A lawyer by profession, Tamizharasan plays a lawyer in the film. “The film’s message is to spread the need for public awareness amongst the people,” reveals Tamizharasan about the film which deals with issues like sand thefts, financial loan recovery goons and property sharks.
The audio launch of the film was held in the presence of Radha Ravi, Sivasakthi Pandian, and heroine Siniya amongst others. Speaking on the occasion, Sivasakthi Pandian remarked, “Small films must be given their due recognition and theatres must exhibit them.” Several songs were screened from the film which included a steamy number complete with an oil massage and seductive moves along with a kuthu song, a tragic song and a duet. The film is produced by S Sabapathy who has done the story and dialogues as well, and is directed by R Sentamizharasu who has also done the screenplay.
Iniya Mahesan, former assistant to Sabesh Murali, has scored the music.
Manobala, Nizhalgal Ravi and Sriman are in the film.
