Actress Karthika, who shot to fame with ‘Thoothukudi’, has been offered to play female lead in ‘Dhairiyam’. The film is directed by M. Saroj Kumar and features debutant Kumaran as protagonist, while Deepu is the other heroine. The film is an action-packed thriller with the entire story centering on Karthika’s characterization.
“The entire story revolves around me and that was the reason I chose this film,” says Karthika, who signs every project after listening to scripts and knowing prominence of her characterization.
Karthika’s recent release ‘Madurai Sambhavam’ didn’t offer her much scope. Speaking about this, the actress says, “I accepted the role since I couldn’t refuse Harikumar’s offer, since he introduced me in Kollywood with his directorial ‘Thoothukudi’…”
