When director/actor Ameer Sultan (think Paruthiveeran ) spoke at the audio launch of Karungali , he made a valid point by saying, “Being at this event gives the feel of being at a Tamil Manadu (a rally or a big conference). Thanks to Vasuki’s compering, oration and choice of Tamil diction.” There was a huge cutout in colourful woodwork with the name of the film in Tamil, which suggested that Tamil is the focus point of the evening.

A huge cutout of actress Anjali in traditional clothes was flanked by Seenu while ‘modern’ Anjali was flanked by Mu Kalangiyam on the other side.

It was also an occasion to launch the trailer of the movie.

Those present at the launch was hardly anyone who did not mention the last line in the trailer, which meant, “What worth is this life when one lives in fear?” The director of the film, Mu Kalangiyam, who has directed five films in all — Kilakkum Merkkum , Poonthottam , Nilave Mugam Kaattu , Mitta Mirasu also makes his debut as an actor.

When he was asked to speak, he welcomed the guests for the Isai Arumuga Vizha, meaning introduction of music through visuals.

There are three songs in the film composed by Srikanth Deva. Produced by G Vivekanandan of Gurujothi films, the event took place at the Prasad lab on Saturday. Among those who graced the occasion were actors Jeyam Ravi, Karan, directors Kasthuri Raja, Sargunam (think Kalavani ) cast of the film including director/ actor Mu Kalangiyam, Anjali and Seenu.
