Kanimozhi absent at 'Kanimozhi's audio launch

Mu Karunanidhi launched the audio of 'Kanimozhi' but the one after whom the film was named was not seen at the event.

Celebrities and politicians thronged the Kalaignar Arangam for  the audio launch of 'Kanimozhi'. Chief Minister M Karunanidhi launched the audio and actor Vijay received the first copy.

Later speaking about his daughter Kanimozhi, the CM recalled the day his daughter was born when he was attending the World Tamil  Conference in 1968. Karunanidhi also spoke about his fascination towards the name  Kanimozhi and how he loved using the name for his characters in short stories. “When I  got a call from the hospital about the birth of a baby girl I immediately named her  Kanimozhi,” the CM reminisced.

Produced by Sona’s UniQ Productions and T Siva’s Amma Creations’ 'Kanimozhi' stars  Jai and Shahnaz Padamsee in the lead. Siva said that the crew met MP Kanimozhi and narrated the story and got permission to name the film as 'Kanimozhi'.

Producer and  actress Sona Heiden was the cynosure of eyes. Clad in a pretty blue saree, Sona welcomed  every artistes standing at the entrance of the venue. However, the much expected MP Kanimozhi was missing as she left for Delhi.  Prakash Raj, Paarthiban, producers AVM  Saravanan, Rama Narayanan, director of Kanimozhi Sripathy Rangasamy, music director Sathish Chakravarthy were present on the occasion.
