Celebrities flocked the theatre hall of Prasad Lab on Tuesday. It was the audio launch of Nandaa’s upcoming flick, Vellore Mavattam, written and directed by RNR Manohar and produced by AGS Entertainment. The film also stars Poorna, Santhanam and Mayilsamy. Sundar C Babu, whose last release was Markandeyan, has scored music for Vellore Mavattam. There are three songs in the film, two of which were introduced to the audiences.

Speaking on the occasion, Nandaa said, “The producers are so passionate about films and film-making. They give importance even to small details. They’re willing to go the distance to get a shot that satisfies them. They’re not bothered about the cost. For instance, we had to reshoot a song for about 2 to 3 days as it didn’t meet their expectations.”

The evening was also graced by actors Karthi, Arun Vijay, Poorna, Sriman, Mayilsamy, director A L Vijay of Deiva Thirumagal fame, director Arivazhagan (Eeram fame) and lyricist Viveka. Coincidently, Suraj Kavee, editor, director Arivazhagan and cinematographer Vetri’s and Nandaa, a batch mate of Vetri — all part of Vellore Mavattam are the alumni of Adyar Film Institute, Taramani. It was absolutely a gala evening.

But sadly everyone, including the celebrities, were seen sweating it out, as the hall didn’t have AC. AGS cinemas, being one of the biggest production house, chose such a small venue to keep their guests sweating throughout the evening!
