The legal issues associated with ‘Vengai’, produced by Vijaya Productions and directed by Hari, have ended in favour of Vijaya Productions.

The issue was taken to the Madras High Court owing to a claim to the title. Eka Chakra Media (P) Ltd, the plaintiff, claimed that they were the ones who had originally registered the title ‘Vengai’ last year and that Vijaya Productions used the name without prior permission. But they lost the case.

With Dhanush and Tamannah in the lead, the film is slated for release this Friday.
