The 17-year-old Hashini, who recently acted in Arumbu Meesai Kurumbu Paarvai, is serious about her career. Although her first film Vaelvi was released in 2008, when she was a Class 10 student, she took a break before her second film, Arumbu Meesai Kurumbu Paarvai (2011), to concentrate on her academics as she was pursuing Class 12. After that, she didn’t want to study further, and chose to pursue a career in the film industry. She is currently shooting for Medhai, a come-back  film for Ramarajan. “It is an important film where I play sister to Ramarajan. Here, I share a love track with Ajay, a newbie. We had to wait for the second shoot to begin as Ramarajan was not well,” she says. Her other film, Kadhal Alla Adhaiyum Thaandi, is likely to release soon. “I got an opportunity to shoot a song sequence with actress Manorama, who has also sung for the film,” she says. Like any newbie in the industry, Hashini wants character roles but admits going glamour will not be a problem. “I did a glamorous song for AMKP. In my upcoming films I play a city girl, a college going girl,” she says.
