Director Mysskin’s Mugamoodi with Jiiva in the lead is all set to become Tamil cinema’s first super hero film. Under UTV Production, the film will have Narain in a negative role. The latest news about the film is that lyricist Madhan Karky has penned two songs for this film.
The music has been scored by Yudham Sei fame music director, K. Says Madhan, “Usually Mysskin’s films have fast numbers, but here, for a change, there are two melodies and I have penned them both. One of the songs was written while I was on a flight. Thankfully, it was a good flight and the moments were romantic. So, I was able to pen good lyrics for that song.” Madhan, who has already completed penning 50 songs, reveals that the song written for Mugammodi is his 41st song. So, was he inspired by his father’s lyrics? “Of course, I was inspired. But they’re not influenced or copied,” he says. Madhan has also penned two songs for Nanban, directed by Shankar, in which he has used 16 different languages in one song. Talking about the music director of Mugamoodi, he says, “K is going to rock the music industry in Chennai. His tunes are very fresh. I think they’ve already recorded one song.”
