Sundar C’s return to direction with the combo of actors Vimal, Shiva, Anjali and Oviya has been much talked about. And most of that is for its title!
The filmmakers had announced that the film’s title would soon be changed, in order to make it eligible for entertainment tax exemption by the state government.
Sundar C later said that he would retain Masala Cafe as the film’s title as he was unable to find a suitable alternative.
The crew finally seems to have found a new Tamil title, while also making a mention of Masala Cafe. This is by making the movie’s title Kalagalapu, and adding @ Masala Cafe as its tagline.
“It’s a hilarious story and everyone will like this film,” said a film source. Vimal-Anjali and Shiva-Oviya will play the lead roles in this movie, whose audio will be launched later this week.
