A 30-something actor playing the role of a college boy is not something new. In fact, most actors in the Tamil film industry have done it with ease and actor Siddharth is no exception.  Still sporting a chocolate boy look, the Boys actor, who is back in the Tamil film industry after 180, is busy promoting his upcoming film, 'Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi' (KSY), which has been directed by debutant director Balaji Mohan.

At a recent press meet, the actor claimed that he was not being approached by directors from the Tamil film industry. He said, “I have done only three films in Tamil and I’m disappointed that I’m not being approached by several Tamil film directors. One reason that I’m not doing many Tamil films is because not many roles suit me well. Otherwise, I’m all set to do as many Tamil films as possible.”

Disclosing more details about his recent project, KSY, he said, “This film was a coincidence. I had watched the short film of KSY several times and I was looking for this director. It so happened that I met Sasikanth, the producer of the film at a press meet, and shared my views on this film. Coincidentally, he was signing this director to make this short film as a feature film. I insisted that I wanted to do this film as I loved the script. It was a fantastic team to work with. I’m looking forward to the film’s release.”

What’s interesting about this film is that actor Siddarth is turning producer with KSY and has launched his production house, Etaki Entertainment. He is the co-producer of this film along with Y NOT Studios of Sasikanth and Nirav Shah, who is the other producer of this film.

So, is being a producer difficult? Said Siddharth, “Not at all. In fact, I enjoyed doing both. I had always wanted to be a director or a producer. I started my career in the production team. So, it’s just an extension of it.”

At present, the actor has signed a couple of Telugu projects and he is also playing the lead in Vetrimaran’s next film.
