Looks like actors are finding new ways to market their films. From having success parties to doing cameo roles by other biggies, experimentation in marketing one’s film has gone a long way. Recently, actor Krishna invited his close actor friends to shake a leg for a song in his forthcoming film, Kazhugu. The promo song in the film, Ambalaikkum Pombalaikkum Avasaram... will see 26 actors and directors dancing with the lead actors of the film.

Says the actor, “It’s a new trend that is being followed by a lot of people in the film industry. We need to market our films and I have requested my friends from the film industry to do a cameo in this song. I’m glad that even senior actors politely obliged to my request.” The song has become a rage among youngsters, says the actor. A folk number, the song has been sung by Sathya, Krishna Raj and Velmurugan, composed by Yuvan .

What’s more interesting is that the song is about three generations of love. He explains, “The three lead roles are played by Thambi Ramaiah, Karunas and myself. So the songs starts with Thambi Ramaiah talking about how love was strong and how lovers committed suicidefor each other. Later, Karunas explains about the impact of love in his period and then I sing about the open-minded couples of this era.

It’s a typical kuthu song with a slight Yuvan’s touch to it.” The song features Jiiva, Arya, Krishna’s brother Vishnuvardhan, Radhika Sarathkumar, Lingusamy, Priya Anand, Perarasu, team ‘Marina’, Venkat Prabhu, Premgi Amaren, Janani Iyer, Vijaylakshmi, Radhika Sarath Kumar, SJ Suryah, Thaman, Divyadarshini and Kala master  Now, the film has been certified with a U/A and is all set to release on March 16.
