Actor Vinay ,who was last seen in Modhi Vilayadu, is making a comeback after three years with director R Madhesh’s Mirattal. The movie is a remake of the Telugu movie Dhee. A rom-com, the movie features Kannada actor Sharmila as the female lead. Actors Prabhu, Santhanam and Pandiarajan play pivotal roles. While major portions of the movie have been shot in and around London, a few scenes were canned in veteran actor Sivaji Ganesan’s house. “Everyone at Sivaji sir’s house was kind to the film crew. Every day after shoot, Prabhu sir’s family fed me so much that my daily workout had no effect on me,” says the actor.
The Jeyam Kondan actor said he was awestruck by the awards, medals and honours bestowed on the veteran that were stacked up in his palatial home. “I feel proud to have seen these awards personally,” he says.
The actor, who is clear about not being typecast as a romantic hero, says he is waiting for a script with a difference.
Speaking about his performance in Mirattal, Vinay says, “I’m confident the audience will be convinced with my performance in this film.”
