Though his first two movies, Sindhu Samaveli and Aridhu Aridhu, bombed at the box office, young actor Harish Kalyan’s talent didn’t go unnoticed. He is currently part of Chandamama, in which he plays the second lead. Actor Karunaas and  Swetha Basu play the lead pair here.

Says he, “Karunaas plays a writer in the film and I, an aspiring singer who moves to Chennai from Coimbatore. The movie is about how my life changes after meeting Karunaas and Swetha and how I become a singer.”

The actor can’t stop praising Karunaas. He says, “Karunaas was of great support and helped me perform better in the climax.”

Chandamama is being directed by debutant director Radhakrishanan. “We have nearly completed the shooting and have only one more week to go,” says Harish. A Viscom graduate from the Annamalai University, Harish says he wants to perform roles that suit his age. “I want to do films like Vinnaithaandi Varuvaya and Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi. I feel such roles will suit me better,” he says.
