Whether a movie with multiple heroes translates into better success at the box office or not, it certainly is a trend that has been catching on in Kollywood. Roping in Vidharth, Krishna, Anup Menon and Dhansika, director Meera Kathiravan is believed to be working on a full length comedy script. This will be in stark contrast to Kathiravan’s first film, the critically-acclaimed drama Aval Peyar Tamilarasi.

Actor Vidharth, who confirmed to City Express that he has signed on for the project, says that the film will definitely be a turning point for all the actors involved. “It is the right choice for all of us,” he says, very excitedly. Though he really couldn’t reveal more about the project, he did say that it would be a world apart from Kathiravan’s first movie, and that shooting would begin in November. While Dhansika, who shot to fame after her role in Aravaan, has been signed on to play one of the leadiing ladies, the hunt is still on for the second heroine. The title and the genre of the film are expected to be revealed by the director soon.

Vidharth, who has just returned from Vizag after shooting for Venmegam, directed by the Ram-Lakshmanan duo, says that it is almost done, “Only the songs need to be shot,” he said. He specially appreciated 14-year-old Jaishree from Kerala, who has essayed a “wonderful role” in the movie. He added that he has signed another untitled film by a debutant director Ananth, which will begin by September 19.
