A film Chikki Mukki shot in Malaysia

Usually film shoots are done in the country with songs shot abroad. But Chikki Mukki, a film produced by Norwint Film Institute has done just the opposite.

Usually film shoots are done in the country with songs shot abroad. But Chikki Mukki, a film produced by Norwint Film Institute has done just the opposite. The film has been shot entirely in Malaysia, with just a song being canned in Chennai. The producer of the film is R Senthil Kumar, who started off  humbly in the industry as a cleaner and generator van driver. Later, he graduated into becoming a film producer with Chikki Mukki. Disclosing details, he says, “The film is about a doctor settled in Malaysia, who marries a Tamil girl for her strong Indian values. But trouble comes in the form of a friend who leads her astray and tortures her. How her sister avenges the betrayal is the story.”

The film stars Norway Nakulan as the doctor, Puja as his wife, while Jithesh plays the friend. Tamil Padam fame Disha Pandey plays the avenging sister.  Ganja Karuppu and Soori are part of the cast. Chikki Mukki is directed by Srikanth Raja, a debut director, who formerly produced Enamo Pudichirukku and Ezhidhiyadhu Yarudi. The film has been censored and has received a U/A certificate and is due for release on April 5.
