Prakash Raj’s Un Samayal Arayil, which was also made as Oggarane in Kannada and Ulavacharu Biryani in Telugu in 2014, will soon have its run in Hindi and Marathi.
Prakash will be directing none other than National-award winning actor Nana Patekar in both the versions. Prakash, who plans to kick start the project from April 2015, says, “As a director, I think he (Nana Patekar) is the right one for the role in the Hindi and Marathi versions. I have done it all in three languages and it has been accepted. I wanted to be fair when I was thinking about the cast and I thought he was the right actor to play the role in the film that can be considered as a new genre and a beautiful subject. Nana Patekar was happy to be part of it,” he says.
Prakash directed, produced and also acted in all the three versions of the film that had food, drinks and conversations playing the protagonists. In the film, Prakash plays an middle-aged archeologist who is also a bachelor. His life takes a turn when he gets a call from Gowri (Sneha), a dubbing artiste, who dials his number by mistake.
On the other hand, the flick hasn’t stopped bringing laurels to Prakash. Has been recognised by the South India Cinematographers Association. The association plans to award him at a function to be held in Malaysia, sometime next month. Prakash is equally delighted about getting the award and says, “I am happy that some good work has been recognised. It has been judged and given by the technicians of the film industry. So, it makes it even more special to take this award from them.” The actor has been busy with work in the Kannada industry. He has completed shoot for Devara Naadinalli and Priyanka directed by Dinesh Gandhi. He is currently shooting Ranna with Sudeep and Airavata with Darshan.
