Bejoy Nambiar, co-producer of the horror-thriller Pizza, has clarified that the Hindi remake is different from the 2012 Tamil film by the same name. “We were just inspired by the essence. It is an adaptation,” Bejoy said. Director Akshay Akkineni said that neither him nor Nambiar would have taken it up, if it had been a carbon copy. Pizza, starring Akshay Oberoi, Parvathy Omanakuttan and Arunoday Singh will hit theatres on July 18.
