The lineage holds true. Nagesh’s grandson and Anand Babu’s son Gajesh is working on his debut film Kalkandu now. Shooting has begun in Chennai and Karaikudi, and the film will be completed next month. However, despite cinema being in Gajesh’s genes, director Nandakumar (who made Thennavan with Captain Vijayakant) put him through his paces for two months, getting him trained in action, dance and acting, before the shoot kicked off. With a masala-filled plotline, looks like Nagesh’s grandson will have his fingers crossed that he can replicate his granddad’s success.
