The audio launch of Karthi’s upcoming release Madras, will happen today. Directed by Attakathi Ranjith, the plot of the movie revolves around the life of North Chennaiites. “The movie is not based on an individual. Karthi plays Kaali, an IT graduate. When you see him onscreen, he will not be seen as an actor. He has ‘lived’ in the film along with other characters,” said director Ranjith. The female lead Catherine Tresa plays Kalaiarasi. “Ninety nine per cent of the movie has been extensively shot in North Chennai and we didn’t use heavy makeup for the artistes,” said Ranjith. Santhosh Narayanan has scored the music.
