Adhi Medhavigal, an upcoming flick starring new faces Suresh Ravi and Ishaara Nair, has a number of firsts.
The film helmed by Ranjith Manikandan and produced by Malcolm of Cloud 9 Entertainment, is an effort to combine a number of elements to put together a ‘super brilliant’ flick. As the director puts it, “Since the producer claimed the script to be ‘super brilliant’, I needed to hunt for a lead that was brilliant both in reel and real. During this process, I found Suresh Ravi the best fit for the role.”
With a degree in engineering, Manikandan has worked with renowned director K Bhagyaraj and has also been part of some renowned advertising campaigns.
He adds that he is glad that the producer has appreciated the concept of the script and is all set to kickstart the project soon. “I had met a lot of directors before finalising ‘the one’. Out of all, I was impressed with Ranjith Manikandan as his approach was different and unique. He came prepared with a teaser,” adds Malcolm.
Suresh Ravi, who started off as a model, says bagging the role has made the long wait worth it.
He says, “I have been waiting for the right script for quite some years and I’m thrilled to have found the right team and make a mark on the silver screen now.”
