Padmapriya Ties the Knot

National-award winning actor Padmapriya got married to her long-time beau Jasmine Shah at a private function in Mumbai on Wednesday. The two had met while they were pursuing their master’s degree in the US. 

The actor, who began her film career with the Malayalam film Kaazhcha, has worked in close to 50 films.

Her filmography has covered all the four South Indian languages and Hindi and Bengali. Among the plethora of awards to her credit are the National Special Jury Award, Kerala State awards and Tamil Nadu State Award. Padmapriya’s latest film Iyoobinte Pusthakam is running to packed houses. The actor plans to continue working in films after marriage.

Shah, who hails from Gujarat, has a Post Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from IIT and a Masters in Public Administration.

His interest in the development sector made him shift from a corporate career to the development sector and first worked on the Jaago Re One Billion Vote Campaign. Padmapriya holds an MBA in finance from the Kirloskar Institute, PG Diploma in Environmental Law from National Law School and Masters in Public Administration from NYU.
