Karu Pazhaniappan Begins Work on Kallan

Director Karu Pazhaniappan of Parthiban Kanavu (2003) fame, turned hero with the film Mandhira Punnagai (2010). Now, he has begun work on his next flick. He plays the lead in Kallan, the shooting of which is underway at Kochi. Sources close to the film’s unit say that one of the producers, Madhiazhagan, inaugurated the shoot. “Kallan is directed by Chandra, a long-term associate of director Ameer. Nikitha, a Tamil girl from New Delhi, makes her debut in this film; she plays the female lead. Apart from Pazhaniappan and Nikitha, the film will also feature a number of other actors, including Namo Narayanan and Soundararaja,” said a source. After shooting in Kochi, the unit will head to Theni and Bodimettu. “The filmmakers plan to shoot the film over a period of 45 days at one go,” the source added.
