Express News Service

Vivekh has ?come to the rescue of producer Salem Chandrasekharan - the man who produced films like Ghajini and Sullan. Vivekh was a part of his film Killadi, which has been hit by delays ever since the producer fell into financial distress. The film began in 2009 but has been continuously delayed ever since. Bharath and Nila have moved in different directions since and have all but forgotten all about this film.

However, in a bid to help the producer regain a little bit of lost ground, the comedian today announced that he was refusing remuneration for the movie - to assist the producer in finishing and releasing the film. He tweeted, “Salem Chandrasekharan, one of the biggest producers who made films like Ghajini, is facing financial difficulties and is unable to release his film Killadi. I am waiving my remuneration to help him. Please help, everybody.”

Vivekh’s gesture may not go a severly long way at this point, but it’s certainly a gesture that’s laud worthy - especially in an industry where artist remunerations are the major expenditure in a film’s financial audit. The film was directed by A Venkatesh and has ?music by Srikanth Deva. The film’s audio was released in early 2013 after It crossed several legal hurdles but unfortunately it has been sitting on a shelf ever since.
