Archana Kavi, who shot to fame with her brilliant performance in the critically acclaimed Malayalam film Neelathamara (2009), got engaged to Malayalam stand-up comedian Abish Mathew in a ceremony in New Delhi recently. The actor, who is known in Tamil Nadu for her performance in the period film, Aravaan (2012), which was directed by Vasantabalan and featured Aadhi in the lead, is to wed Abish in January next year.
Talking to City Express, a beaming Archana said, “The wedding will be held after January 20 next year. We have family who live in Canada and other countries. The wedding will be held on a date that’s convenient for everyone to attend.”
Have they finalised a place for the wedding? “It is likely to take place in Kochi,” said the actor who has spent a considerable part of her life in Delhi. Abish, known for his comedy shows, has also been a part of the controversial AIB Knockout Roast.
