Ganesh Finds Soul Mate, All Set for Eternal Bliss

Manigandan KR

Ganesh Venkatram, who is to tie the knot with Nisha on November 22 this year, at a wedding hall on the ECR stretch, is a busy guy.

Even though there is hardly a week left for his wedding, Ganesh is shooting for the Trisha-starrer Nayaki when City Express spoke to him about a pre-wedding photoshoot the actor and his fiancee had opted for.

Giving details of the shoot, Ganesh said, “The idea for the pre-wedding photo shoot belonged to a photographer friend, Ram, based in Bengaluru. When he learnt that I had proposed to Nisha in a church, he came up with the idea of having a pre-wedding photoshoot at a unique church that is a good five-hour drive from Bengaluru.”

Informs Ganesh, “Not many people know about this church in Hassan. The speciality of this church, built by the French Missionaries in the 1860s, is that it is accessible only for three months a year. The other nine months it is underwater.”

Doling out facts about the church’s past, Ganesh says, “The church was built on the banks of the Hemavathi river, where an erstwhile village existed long ago. When authorities decided that the flowing water had to be put to better use, they decided to build the Gorur dam there. So, the village, like many others, was relocated. However, the church still remains.”

Ganesh discloses that it was done around the April-May period. “A week after we finished the photoshoot, my friend sent pictures of the church. It was flooded again.”

Commenting on his soon-to-take-place wedding, Ganesh says, “I will be starting a new phase in life. When you find your soul mate, your soul is set free. My soul has been set free. I am ready for this phase.”

The actor, who is dedicated to his profession, is still shooting for Nayaki. “Nayaki should be released by the end of January,” says Ganesh and adds that he will take a two-week break for his wedding.
