IT Officials Conduct Searches at 'Puli' Actor Vijay's Residence

Income Tax officials conducted searches at actor Vijay’s residence and office at Neelangarai and Saligramam.

CHENNAI: Income Tax officials on Wednesday conducted searches at actor Vijay’s residence and office at Neelangarai and Saligramam.

The raids are being conducted when Vijay’s big budget movie Puli is due to be released on October 1. Income Tax sources confirmed the raids. Meanwhile raids were also conducted at the premises of actresses Nayanthara and Samantha.

“The searches are being conducted to ascertain tax evasion by the film actors,” said a IT source.

Income tax officials conducted raids in 25 other locations in the city. Similarly, actress Nayanthara’s house in Kochi is also being searched by IT officials. IT officials are currently present at 32 locations in Madurai, Chennai, Cochin and Hyderabad
