Vikram teams up with director Hari for 'Saamy 2'

Director Hari announced on Tuesday he will reunite with actor Vikram for the sequel to his 2003 Tamil blockbuster 'Saamy'.

CHENNAI: Director Hari announced on Tuesday he will reunite with actor Vikram for the sequel to his 2003 Tamil blockbuster "Saamy".

"Vikram and I are coming together for 'Saamy'. We had plans of doing it much earlier but things somehow didn't fall in place (then)," Hari told reporters here.

He spoke at the audio launch of Vikram's upcoming Tamil outing "Iru Mugan".

In "Saamy 2", Vikram will return as the foul-mouthed police officer and the role was loved by the masses.

Without divulging much information, Hari said that the sequel will go on the floors later this year.

At the audio launch, the trailer of "Iru Mugan" was released and it gave audiences a glimpse of Vikram in dual roles.

In the film, Vikram plays a secret agent as well as a transgender.
