Neruppu da fame Arunraja to croon for Nibunan

S Subhakeerthana

The young lyricist-turned-singer Arunraja Kamaraj, who rose to fame with the energetic number Neruppu da in the Rajinikanth-starrer Kabali, has been roped in to sing a song in the Arjun-Prasanna-Varalaxmi-Sruthi Hariharan starrer Nibunan, directed by Arun Vaidyanathan of Peruchazhi (2014) fame.

The film has music by Navin of Kalyana Samayal Saadham (2013) fame. Though we hear that the song isn’t a title track, sources say that it gives meaning to the crux of the film. Arunraj has written the lyrics, and will be recording the song soon.

On the other hand, he’s currently shooting for Aadhi-Nikki Galrani’s untitled flick, where he plays a supporting role. Though he has been receiving more offers post Kabali, sources add he wants to take it slow. Meanwhile, rumours are abuzz that he’s all set for directing a film, but0 official confirmation is awaited.

Nibunan is a film on how the cops solve a series of crimes where Arjun plays a stylish and intellectual cop.
