TV anchor-actor Ma Ka Pa Anand, who turned a hero with Vaanavaraayan Vallavaraayan (2014), is quite excited about Atti, which is slated to hit the screens this week. Directed by Vijay Bhaskar, the film said to be a complete comedy entertainer.

Anand says, “I play the role of a gaana singer who lives in a Housing Board colony. Ashmita of Pazhaya Vannaarapettai (2015) fame plays my love interest and Ramki plays a stylish and quiet villain. Rajendran and Yogi Babu are also a part of the film. Set in North Madras, Atti portrays the reality of city people. The movie has all commercial elements, as well.”

The actor was also all praise for the film’s music director Sundar C Babu. “Music will be one of the highlights. I’ve even sung one of the songs. I am very happy with the way he has composed the peppy numbers,” Anand adds.

Up next, Anand has Maanik in his kitty! The title reminds us of the character played by Superstar in Baashha (1995). “It’s a fantasy film. Suza Kumar plays the heroine. Everything that comes my way is based on comedy. But I’d love to do thriller films,” he says.
