Following the footsteps of Ram Gopal Verma, who released the first seven minutes of his film 26/11 instead of a trailer or a teaser, the team that made the film Rajathandhiram, which went on to emerge a hit at the box office, is to release the first six minutes of the sequel to the film on March 13.

The first part, which had music by G V Prakash, featured Veera in the lead along with Regina Cassandra. Darbuka Siva and Ajai Prasath too played important roles in part 1.

However, the team has been silent on the cast and crew members for the sequel. Only the lead parts have been confirmed. “Veera plays the hero in the sequel too.  Darbuka Siva and Ajai Prasath will play important roles in this part as well. On the technical side, Kathir has been confirmed as the cameraman," says a source, who goes on to point out that this film is to be directed and produced by Senthil Veerasamy.

Another source says that the footage for the first six minutes was shot only recently.

"The team realised that this would be a much better option than teasers or trailers at this point. They felt that having trailers and teasers would make more sense once the film was done. The first six minutes of the film will be a curtain raiser for the sequel," the source points out and says that fans can expect the film to hit screens in 2016 itself.
