CHENNAI: Actor Shruti Hasan has filed a complaint against a cyber stalker from Karnataka who allegedly sent abusive and derogatory messages via her Twitter handle @Shrutihassan.
A senior police officer here said the complaint has been forwarded to the central crime branch attached to the Chennai police for further investigation.
The complaint was filed on Wednesday by the actor's agent Praveen Antony.
In her complaint, Shruti Hasan identified the stalker as Dr K G Guruprasad from Karnataka. She alleged that he had been sending messages to her for the past two months. According to the complaint, he works at the Hasan Institute of Medical Science. Shruti attached screenshots of the messages to her complaint.
