The shoot of Padhungi Paayanum Thala directed by Moses Muthupandi, an erstwhile co-director of SA Chandrasekhar, is taking place full swing. Veteran actor MS Bhaskar and Vela Ramamurthy of Kidaari fame play pivotal roles in the flick.

Touted to be a family-entertainer set against a rural backdrop, the movie is said to be a complete fun-ride which will cater to audience across all ages. Michael Thangadurai of Nalanum Nandhiniyum (2014) and Burma (2014) fame plays the lead role. Vallavan will compose the music for this flick, which is said to have four fun numbers.

Produced by Ameena Hussain, the movie is slated for a January 2017 release. Sources say, “Micheal will be seen in a rugged look, and has to master the Madurai slang for his character. It will be a contrasting role to what he played in Nalanum...” This film also has Udhaya Banu, Singam Puli and Singapore Deepan in important roles.
