CHENNAI: The planned meeting between superstar Rajinikanth and the members of his fans’ association scheduled for the next week has been called off.

The meeting, arranged by Rajini fans association at Raghavendra Mandapam and slated from April 12-16, was also expected to provide an opportunity for fans to take individual photographs with Rajinikanth.

Addressing fans through an audio message, the actor said the planned photo opportunity, taking place after about 10 years, has been cancelled since it would be practically difficult to take individual photos with his fans.

"Initially our plan was to meet fans from all districts, take photographs and organise a feast. It was planned as a get-together. We realised it is difficult to take individual pictures so we planned for group photographs consisting of 8 members. But, fans expressed disappointment in that idea. I think it is fair too. No one will want a group picture."

Rajinikanth added that in future, he would announce a plan to meet fans in every district separately so that they can take individual photos.
