'Podhuvaga Emmanasu Thangam', starring Udhayanidhi Stalin and Nivetha Pethuraj is all set to release
on August 11. The movie also stars Parthiepan and Soori in major roles.
The title is a throwback to the Rajini classic from 'Murattu Kalai'.
With 'Podhuvaga....', Udhayanidhi, who produces his movies under his own banner, 'Red Giant Movies',
will be appearing in a non-home banner for the first time.
'Podhuvaga Emmanasu Thangam' is produced by N Ramswamy and Hema Rukmani under Sri Thenandal Films.
Thalapathy Prabhu, who had earlier worked as an assistant to Ponram, makes his directorial debut with
this movie.
D Imman has composed the soundtrack of the film while Balasubramaniem has handled cinematography.
According to Udhayanidhi Stalin, his favourite track from the film is the 'Singakutty song'.

Solveno'.
Earlier, it was reported that Catherine Tresa had been signed by the film's team as the heroine but
was later replaced by Nivetha.
Releasing on August 11th, the film will face stiff competition from Dhanush's sequel to the hit 2014
film, 'Velai Illa Pattadhari'.
