Sivakarthikeyan’s upcoming film, a big budgeted project, with Mohan Raja was recently titled Velaikkaran. Produced by RD Raja, it features a battalion of actors, including Nayanthara. A source from the film’s unit said, “More than 40% of the film’s shooting has been completed including one song and two stunt sequences. Muthuraj, set designer, has built a slum set at Prasad Studios, Chennai, which costs `5 crore.” The team had scheduled 40 days of shoot at this set and 20 days of shoot has been completed. They have also shot in real slums across Chennai. “After this, there will be a long stretch of 35 days in Malaysia, where we will be filming in some factories and corporates.” The first look of Velaikkaran will be unveiled on May 1, Labour’s Day. The title is said to be apt for the story and director Raja has selected it. Vijay Vasanth is the new addition to the cast and some more big actors are also being considered. Velaikkaran is slated to release on August 25.
