We had told you earlier that Vijay Milton was working on a sequel to Goli Soda, the filming of which has been progressing at a brisk pace. The latest development is that Samuthirakani has been roped in for an important role.

According to sources, the film revolves around four characters who struggle for their respective identities. “He sports a new look and plays a suspended police constable in the film. His portions have been already shot in Chennai,” says a source.

The last time Milton spoke to us, he had said, “Goli Soda brought me a lot of recognition, which in return, gave me the confidence to pen a sequel. Contrary to reports, it’s not a sports film, but based on the lives of basketball players.

It’s going to be a commercial-action venture.” Milton is producing the film under his home banner, Rough Note Productions. Goli Soda 2 also has the famous Malayalam writer-director Chemban Vinod playing a pivotal role.
