After making her debut with Kaatru Veliyidai, Bollywood actor Aditi Rao Hydari has been flooded with offers from the South. The actor says, “I was happy doing Hindi films and one day, Mani Ratnam sir called me and offered Kaatru Veliyidai.

It was only after that film that I’m getting more offers down South. Honestly, I have no language, caste, region or religion barriers and am ready to work in films which I personally connect to. As long as the role is good, I don’t mind working in any language -- Indian or foreign.” Aditi has a wishlist of directors she wants to work within the South.

“There are many talented directors I want to work with, like Gautham Menon, Mysskin, Karthik Subbaraj, Sekhar Kammula, Tharun Bhascker and Mani Ratnam. I want to do as many films as possible with them,” she says.

On her upcoming films, she says, “I’m playing an astronaut in Sankalp Reddy’s space-thriller and I’m learning rope work in the daytime and shooting for Mani Ratnam’s Chekka Chivantha Vaanam during nights.”
