Sharwanand, Saikumar and Sundeep Krishna starrer Prasthanam did not set the box office ringing. However, it seems like the movie is finally getting its due, being the only Telugu film selected for the Indian Panorama of International Film Festival, 2010. The critically-acclaimed film was produced by Ravi Vallabhaneni, under the banner of VRC media and entertainments, and directed by Deva Katta. Prakashraj has bought the Tamil remake rights of the film, while Priyadarshan is likely to direct the Hindi remake of Prasthanam — acclaimed as a path-breaking film.
