After claiming a hat-trick in Telugu with Yuganiki Okkadu, Aawara and Naa Peru Siva, Kollywood’s youthful hero Karthi is to be seen in Malligadu. Hitting the theatres on March 2, the film is a dubbed version of Paruthiveeran, which marked the actor’s debut (2007). Priyamani, Saravanan, Ponvannan and Ganja Karuppu are playing the lead roles. Ameer Sultan is the director and Yuvan Shankar Raja is the musician. An intense love story it is, Malligadu too is being presented by Gnanavelraja’s Studio Green banner. The original bagged two National Awards (one for its heroine), six Filmfare and two Tamil Nadu State Film Awards besides winning accolades at several international film festivals for the scintillating performances of the artists.
