Ram Gopal Varma and actor Akkineni Nagarjuna are joining hands again. The two, who in the 90's made classic action-crime dramas will be soon uniting for action film, according to a Facebook post by RGV.

“I am extremely excited that I am doing a film with Nagarjuna after nearly 25 years but contrary to some uninformed media speculations, this new film is nothing to do with ‘Shiva’, neither in character nor in story content,” Varma posted on his Facebook page.

Incidentally, Ram Gopal Varma had made his debut as an independent film director with 'Shiva' in 1989.

The film starring Nagarjuna had propelled Varma to national acclaim and he went on to remake the film in Hindi in the following year.

RGV and Nagarjuna later made films like 'Antham' (1992), 'Govind Govinda' (1993) and 'Drohi' (1992).
