Newcomer Bharat Margani is making his debut with Oye Ninney, a rom-com set in the backdrop of Godavari region.

“The film is an emotional love story that shows the strained relationship between a father and his son. Although the hero loves his maradhalu (sister-in-law), he cannot express his feelings as he does not want to incur his father’s wrath. The audience could relate a lot to my character because each one of us would have had a similar experience.”

After his MBA, Bharat’s parents wanted him to join the family business but his passion towards the showbiz drove him to try something on his own. “My parents didn’t want me to get into acting as they wanted me to be a businessman. But, I convinced them to let me be an actor and trained under Satyanand master in Visakhapatnam to get a foothold in the showbiz,” says Bharat.

It’s natural for newcomers to grimace over facing the camera for the first time, but admittedly, Bharat’s experience as a model helped him to get over that shyness. “I acted in a short film titled Destine Beats and walked the ramp at Lakme Fashion Week. I also judged Miss AP and other beauty pageants which helped me to make myself comfortable in front of the camera,” he reveals, adding, “It was during one of these shows that producer Vamsi Krishna Srinivas met me and offered Oye Ninney.” Bharat can’t hide his excitement and shares, “I have seen the film and am delighted with my performance. I’m hoping that the audience too expresses similar views after watching the film.”
