Actor Vishwak Sen, who awaits the release of buddy comedy Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi, has commenced work on the Telugu remake of Malayalam crime drama Angamaly Diaries on Tuesday.

Set in the backdrop of the Old City, the film traces the journey of a youngster, who wants to stamp his authority by becoming a powerful leader of a gang in Hyderabad.

Like its original, the remake will also feature a host of newcomers. “The Telugu remake will feature many fresh faces including its female lead. The first schedule which started off at Mehdipatnam will go on until June 27 and the team is planning to shoot major portions of the film in real locations of the city.”

Vivek Sagar will score the music and the team has decided to use anamorphic lenses to get better output. Besides playing the lead, Vishwak is also directing and producing this untitled film under Vanmaye Creations.
