Chitrangda Singh celebrates Durga Puja at Mumbai's Durga Bari Samiti

Hindi film actress Chitrangda Singh visited Mumbai's famous Durga Bari Samiti at Sheth Gokuldas Tejpal Hall on 17 October 2018 to join in the Maha Ashtami celebrations at the Samiti. The puja conducted by the Durga Bari Samiti is the oldest in the city. C 

Chitrangda Singh offered a tray containing a beautiful traditional saree and flowers to the Devi and participated in the Sandhya Puja at Mumbai's Durga Bari Samiti.

The Durga Bari Samiti went green, making sure only idols made of clay with water-soluble colours were used. The pandal too does not have any plastic, thermocol or varnish. Chitrangda is seen taking part in the Durga Puja.

Chitrangda Singh said that she was happy to visit Mumbai's Durga Bari Samiti as it was the oldest celebration of Durga Puja in the city. She added: I am delighted with the fact that the organisation has kept it eco-friendly. We have seen the immense damage after visarjan to our environment and it is wonderful if we can celebrate with care and concern for our surroundings.
