Hardcore DC fans would call it blasphemous, but it is happening. (To put it in MCU terms 'Dread it. Run from it. Destiny still arrives all the same.') Actor Tessa Thompson has confirmed that Christian Bale will be playing the antagonist in Marvel's 'Thor:

'Batman' Bale to be Thor's nemesis: Actors to do both DC and Marvel movies | Ben Affleck, Chris Evans, Ryan Reynolds and more

Christian Bale will be playing the antagonist in Marvel's "Thor: Love and Thunder". However, he isn't the first actor to do a crossover in their career and is highly unlikely to be the last. Here are 14 such notable performers who got to register their names in both DC and Marvel universe over the years.

Bechu S
RYAN REYNOLDS: GREEN LANTERN, DEADSHOT: Released in 2011, DC's 'Green Lantern' was so bad that not just the plans for sequels were shelved, but the character was dropped from Justice League altogether. Reynolds became the butt of jokes before he got to play MCU's R-Rated superhero - the role he was born to play. Plus, he got the chance to time travel and shoot himself in the head for agreeing to put on the ring.
MICHEAL FASSBENDER: BURKE (DC), MAGNETO (MCU): There is no logical explanation to why DC produced 'Jonah Hex' in 2010. A box-office bomb and critical failure, Micheal should have regretted inking the deal to play the tattoo-faced enforcer. However, he was back with a bang to play a younger Magneto in the 'Xmen: First Class' trilogy and kept the standard established by none other than Sir Ian McKellen himself.
HALLE BERRY: CATWOMAN (DC), STORM (MCU): The 53-year-old eternalised one of Prof X's most trusted lieutenants. She was so perfect as the mutant with command over the weather that, just like Wolverine, it is impossible to imagine somebody else as Storm. But will you believe if someone told you Halle is a receptionist of the Golden Raspberry Award! That's right. DC's 'Catwoman' was so bad that she was declared the worst actor of the year in 2005. But Halle was so cool that she turned up to receive the award and thanked her director for convincing her to play the 'shit' movie.
JK SIMMONS: COMMISSIONER GORDON (DC), JONAH JAMESON (MCU): For the 80s and 90s kids, the cigar-loving Spidey-hating boss of 'The Daily Bugle' from Sam Raimi's 'Spiderman' trilogy is one character hard to forget. Simmons later entered MCU's rival franchise as Gotham City's famous cop.
BEN AFFLECK: BATMAN (DC), DAREDEVIL (MCU): #Batfleck has become a cult since he took on and almost killed the Kryptonian. The 'Gone Girl' star wasn't always this successful and the beginning years of the millennium was very tough for him. Affleck starred as the blind MCU vigilant during this dark period of his career and the project surely won't be one among his favourites.
MICHEAL KEATON: BATMAN (DC), VULTURE (MCU): Here is one more batman for you, not just any but the first modern big screen one! Keaton set a trend that is followed till date while bringing back the caped crusader. However, three years after his Oscar nomination for 'Birdman', the veteran actor returned once again with wings to play Vulture in 'Spider-Man: Homecoming.' (That was one weird way to scare off your daughter's date Mr Toomes...)
TILDA SWINTON: GABRIEL (DC), ANCIENT ONE (MCU): The 59-year-old played one of the powerful beings on earth alongside Benedict Cumberbatch in 'Dr Strange' before making a cameo appearance in 'Avengers: End Game.' Little know is the fact that Keanu Reeves-starrer 'Constantine' (2005) is a DC production.
MICHELLE PFEIFFER: CATWOMAN (DC), WASP/JANET (MCU): Michelle was the first Wasp before her daughter took over as she got lost in the quantam realm. But DC gave her a better role by choosing her to play an acrobatic Catwoman opposite Keaton in 1992. Halle must be jealous.
ZACHARY LAVI: SHAZAM (DC), FANDRAL (MCU): In his defence, Marvel had his character killed in his second outing as one among the 'Warriors Three' before jumping ship. Shazam was a box office success and is likely to hand Lavi a lot in the near future.
IDRIS ELBA: ROQUE (DC), HEIMDALL (MCU): The immensely talented Elba was the backstabber in DC's 2010 flick 'The Losers' before he opted to play the watchman of the Nordic realm. The rainbow bridge was safe under Elba's watch until sword slinging Asgardian met a heroic end in the hand of you know who...
TOMMY LEE JONES: TWO-FACE (DC), COLONEL CHESTER PHILLIPS (MCU): Jones is a natural performer when it comes to military roles. Steve Rogers (wait, we'll get there) found the best mentor in him and would have never become the super-soldier without him. Aaron Eckhart is the popular Two-Face thanks to Nolan, but never forget Jones gave Batman a hard time along with Jim Carrey's Riddler in 1995.
CHRIS EVANS: JENSEN (DC), HUMAN TORCH & CAPTAIN AMERICA (MCU): Captain is finally here. Evans and Hemsworth are undoubtedly among the most liked actors on earth thanks to Marvel. But the American's earlier outings with them wasn't very sweet as the 'Fantastic Four' series was a disaster. The lesser told about it, the better. Evans co-starred Elba in 'The Losers' as the team's communication specialist who like to lower his jeans in lifts.
JOSH BROLIN: JONAH HEX (DC), CABLE & THANOS (MCU): The mad titan is a mad assassin in Marvel's parallel universe were Deadpool and the X-Men roam around. Thanos is one for all time while we are likely to see Brolin again as a member of the X-Force in the latter alongside Reynolds. This double comeback into the comic world is quite impressive after playing Jonah Hex in 'Jonah Hex.'
