Chandrayaan 2: The six key figures from Kerala making India's lunar mission dream a reality

These six key figures are behind the GSLV MkIII which carries Chandrayaan 2 to its designated orbit.

S Somanath, Director, VSSC. A native of Cherthala. He was also the mission Director for the first Experimental Mission of LVM3-X/CARE in December 18, 2014. 

J Jayaprakash, mission director of GSLV MkIII-M1/Chandrayaan 2 and a native of Velamannur, Paripally, Kollam.

KC Raghunatha Pillai. The Vehicle Director of the mission. A native of Vayyattupuzha, Chittar, Pathanamthitta.

PM Abraham, Associate Vehicle Director of the mission. A native of Mallappally, Pathanamthitta.

G Narayanan Associate Project Director Native of Sreenagar, Trivandrum

P Kunhikrishnan Director, UR Rao Satellite Centre. He was responsible for realisation of Chandrayaan-2.
