HYDERABAD:Pioneer Institute of Hotel is a professionally managed institute under the affiliation of Osmania University. It celebrated its 18th Annual Day in the presence of Sudha Kumar, joint director AP tourism, Nitin Prakash, director of PIHM and the guest of honour, Ashok Hemrajan, group vice president at Minerva Grand hotels and restaurants. He addressed the students and pointed out the basic skills needed and how proper attendance in college leads to discipline later in the hotel industry.

Today, the industry is growing not only quantitatively but also in terms of extensions in the hospitality industry such as fancy resorts, amusement parks, cruises. The formula for hospitality professionals is 'Do what you are enjoying. Enjoy what you do'. As much as money is important, job satisfaction is as well. The institute promises students any assistance they might need, including in acquiring internships and industry exposure.

The institute took the opportunity to release the college newsletter on this occasion too which elaborates on all the events, activities, awards and placements throughout the academic year 2017-2018. The activities including are catering, cultural, literary, social welfare and sport.

The biggest event of the year was the first ever Hyderabad Christmas Food Carnival which was a big success.
