Around 28 people, allegedly shooting a pornagraphic film in a marriage hall on Monday, were caught red-handed by the Kolkata police.
The 28 people, which also include the cast and crew members had already shot few scenes and uploaded them on the internet. "We have arrested 28 people, including seven women models, five male models, two directors and specialized sound recordists. We caught them while they were shooting inside the bathroom and bedroom," the investigating officer told Times of India.
According to a source, the models were paid a paltry sum of Rs 1000 per day, while the camera equipment were hired for Rs 35,000 per day. The total cost incurred for the shoot for almost Rs 1 lakh.
"Raja, who has turned out to be the ring leader, tied up with an audio and video company, based out of Delhi. Within hours of the film being shot in Kolkata, the videos would have been uploaded on various websites. The profits, which would depend on the number of hits on the online links, would be divided in half, one portion going to Raja and his associates and the other to the Delhi audio company that uploaded the videos," the officer said.
The models claimed to the police that they were lured by the directors and producer falsely telling them that its a documentary film.
