MUMBAI: Salman Khan's sister Arpita Khan has thanked supporters for being with them in their tough time and says the family is leaving everything to God.

Salman, 49, was sentenced by a sessions court to five years' rigorous imprisonment in the 2002 hit-and-run case, but he swiftly moved the Bombay High Court which granted him interim bail till May 8 to hear his appeal against conviction.

"Today was a day filled with ups and downs, highs and lows. We leave the rest to God and hope and pray for the best. Thank you all for being with us!," Arpita posted on Twitter last night.
